This guy is well known in the small college town of Shippensburg. He can be seen walking around in camouflage with a bucket and a cane, and if you stop to talk with him he'll ramble about absolutely nothing for hours on end. His house is painted orange and black, and the glass is all covered with black paint. I happened to be driving by at the right time and I got a snapshot of him emerging from his lair. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but I couldn't help myself.
Great capture! He's looking right at ya...probably got you burned into his memory for future reference! His name, if I recall correctly is Jack, and he used to work at Letterkenny ( thus the camo and such he always wears ). He has a psychiatric condition I am told, that causes him to worry about things falling from the sky or being hit by random objects and so he wears the protective gear and the safety orange. That also might explain the orange cement yard he's created. The sculptures he has created in his backyard are noteworthy... you might check them out if you get a chance. I saw Jack in his yard once with his shirt off and the guy is totally built and super ripped. What a wild house though, huh? I can't beleive his place hasn't been condemned yet. Have you seen that the second floor has caved in on the first floor ( you can see it if you get a chance to look in the front door with the right light). Jack usually goes on and on about revelations and other biblical prophecies. Again, neat photo... I've got photos of the house but to capture him emerging is much better!
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
